Newsela Teacher Trainer Program
Newsela Teacher Trainer is a certification program for educators, administrators, and coaches to qualify as an official trainer and presenter for schools, conferences, and events. This course will also support remote teaching competencies.
Newsela Teacher Trainer is a certification program for educators, administrators, and coaches who want to develop strategies to share their Newsela lessons with fellow educators. The online lessons will review a framework for backwards planning the creation of 3 items: a shared Assignment, a Planning Resource, and a Video. This course will support remote teaching competencies.
You’ll learn how to:
- Backwards plan content creation
- Design instructional support items with the classroom in mind
- Write an Assignment to give your items context
- Develop a printable handout teachers can share in hard copy
- Create an engaging training video
Time:
- We anticipate that the entire course will take 7-10 hours, including the time to create your content
- Credentials are valid for 2 years
