Educators need accessible resources that reflect students' interests and experiences and help them to better understand the world around them. Newsela provides classrooms with high quality, accessible content paired with interactive tools to help drive student engagement.

In this course, you will explore Newsela content, tools, and strategies to support meaningful classroom learning for all your students.

Course Objectives:

  • Understand how Newsela can enhance meaningful classroom learning for all students to support your instructional practice  
  • Connect to the Newsela content most relevant to your subject areas and grade levels of focus
  • Understand and apply Newsela tools and features that support access to content for all students
  • Understand and apply Newsela tools and features that support engagement and response to content for all students
  • Create a digital Newsela assignment for your classroom
